So, ladies and gentlemen, I figured that today, I'd do something a little bit different. I figured, tonight, I'd write about what I've been watching/listening to/playing. I was thinking of calling it, "What Kyle's Watching/Playing/Listening to.", but then I realized that that was one heck of a mouthful. So, for the time being, this segment shall remain unnamed. Now, without further ado, I present my current tastes in, well, pretty much anything.

What I'm Listening To:
For the past while now, I've really only been listening to a select few bands, most of which have been introduced to me by my father and brother, who happen to be bigger music junkies than myself. Firstly, I'd like to call attention to an amazing blues/alt-rock band called The Black Keys, who have recently released a song from their new album, set to release on December 6th. This song is titled Lonely Boy, and it happens to be an awesome song. As well, I would like to recommend their album Brothers, which is equally awesome, and currently available for purchase.

Other than that, most of the music I've been listening to is original stuff posted on the good old interwebs, like the wonderfully whimsical, beautifully bouncy, seriously sweet album BLUENOISE, by Protodome. I was introduced to this lovely album by a good friend of mine, quite recently, in fact, and I had to bookmark it immediately. BLUENOISE is an album that is sugary sweet, right down to it's core, and I love it.

    • Sigh No More - Mumford and Sons

    • Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant

    What I'm Watching:
At the moment, I've mostly been watching a medley of British shows and American sitcoms. Most recently, I've started watching an amazing, wonderfully vulgar show, called MisfitsMisfits' is a show about a group of juvenile delinquents who get struck by lightning and gain superpowers. Now, right off the bat, you probably assume that this show is very action-oriented, focusing on conflicts between super-villains and what-not. That would be where you're wrong. Misfits is much more of drama/dark comedy, and it is absolutely hysterical.
Now, I'm not a criminal who watches television shows over the internet, but if I were, I'd probably search for Misfits on a deeply criminal, immoral website like, I don't know, Watchseries.euIf I illegally streamed video content. Which I don't. Ever.

Anyways, moving on. Another show that I have absolutely fallen in love with, is a sitcom by the name of
2 Broke Girls. So, at its heart, 2 Broke Girls is basically The Odd Couple, except, as the title would suggest, the main characters are both female, and exceedingly poor. The show follows them earning money for their budding cupcake franchise, as well as dealing with problems in their day-to-day lives. While the concept is rather simple, the beauty of this show is in its execution. Kat Dennings (Who played Norah in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist) plays the gloriously sarcastic lead, Max, a jaded waitress in a greasy spoon restaurant, alongside relative unknown Beth Behrs, playing the newly poor daughter of a disgraced investor. Both actresses manage to do one heck of a job, and end up being really funny. 2 Broke Girls is on Mondays at 8:30, on CBS. Watch it.
